Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has called on Ghanaians to focus on the benefits Nana Addo’s trip brought the country instead of the cost of the chartered flight.
On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, North Tongu MP, Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that Akufo Addo spent GHC3.46 million on a Boeing 737-900ER BBJ3 private jet fitted with a luxury shower for his trips to the UK and Germany. The revelation has sparked fury from large sections of Ghanaians.
However, in a tweet, cousin of President Akufo Addo, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko called for Ghanaians to focus on the benefits the trips brought to Ghana instead of being critical about the amount of money used by the President in renting the luxury private jet.
“Ghana’s President travelled to Germany for a week and returned with 1.5 million vaccines, among other investor-related items. But of course, the focus of those who seasonally choose to know the cost of everything but the value of little, is on the cost of the flight chartered”, Gabby’s tweet read.
