GALs World wins Community Heroes Award with its RED Tour Project

Women and girl child development NGO, Golden Age Leaders best known as GALs World has been adjudged one of the two winners in the Women Development category of the 2018 COmmunity Heroes Award.

GALs World will be honored on September 20, 2018 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra for its RED Tour Project initiative which aims at supporting young females in the upper primary and Junior High Schools in rural school with free sanitary pad, saving culture and personal hygiene education in the time of the “RED” season.

The RED Tour project by GALs World which was launched in October last year in the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly benefited over 400 pupils. The project was financed by contributions from members of the organization who are mainly young women who seek to reach out to their younger one in the rural schools.

The second edition of the RED Tour train, Awake News has learned will land at Bator in North Togun District on the Volta Region come October 2018.

Winners of Community Heroes Award 2018

The Africa Centre for Peace Building (AFCOPB) and Awake Africa Magazine are honored to announce the winners of its maiden edition of Community Heroes Award which opened for the nomination in January 2017. The award ceremony is scheduled for September 20, 2018 at the University of Professional Studies-Accra, Ghana.
