Fred Opare-Ansah behind propaganda against me – Suhum MCE

Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Margrete Darko Dankwah has accused the NPP Member of Parliment for the area, Frederick Opare-Ansah of being behind the barrage of propaganda against her only in his bid to get her removed from to pave way for his favorite.

Mrs. Darko Dankwah was responding to accusations that she has [ads1imported her favorites who are also not disabled persons on the beneficiary ]list of the 2018 Disability Fund disbursed by the government.

A group calling itself Truths Forum alleged that MCE gave a deep freezer to the NPP Constituency Women Organiser, Hannah and the Assemblyman for Omenako Electoral area, Hon Cudjoe and his media aide, Samuel Baah who are not disabled persons.

However, taking Awake News through the list of beneficiaries for June 2018 revealed that none of the names being alleged by the group was found in the disbursement list.

According to the MCE, the chairman of Persons With Disability, Mr. Ofori Manu who addressed a press conference saying most of his people including himself did not receive any item from the fund said he was misinformed about the reality of the issues on the ground. He has, therefore, apologize for his actions.

Hon. Darko Dankwah further explained that the issues of some members of the PDW community not getting any of the items is a result of batch disbursement as the beneficiaries outnumbered allocated the amount for the period of June 2018.

She also pointed out that, the list of the beneficiaries was compiled by the Social Welfare Department in the Municipality and see no reason why she is being accused of favoritism.

When asked why will anyone buddle such untrue information about her, she said: “All these propaganda against me are being fueled by the MP [Opare-Ansah]”.

“He is the one sponsoring all these attacks on me for no reseason” – she said

“From the day I was endorsed by the Assembly members, this man [MP] called me and said I should wear a metallic helmet and that I don’t know what is coming on my head” – She revealed.

When Awake News contacted Hon. Opare-Ansah for his response, this is what he has to say “While I would not want to respond directly to her about the matter, I can assure you I do not anything about these matters.”
