KIA

The 2020 Auditor-General’s report has revealed that the former Officer-In-Charge of Kotoka International Airport’s VVIP Lounge took possession of furniture belonging to the Lounge without the knowledge of the Chief Director.

According to the report, the former Officer-In-Charge took possession of the furniture after his appointment was terminated.

This action led to the Foreign Affairs Ministry ‘wasting’ GHS25,767.60 to acquire new furniture for the Lounge.

The Auditor-General in his report, recommended that the Chief Director “requests the former Officer-In-Charge to return the furniture in a good state, failing which the cost of the furniture he took away should be recovered from him”.
