#FixTheCountry Convener slams Akufo-Addo over hired luxury VIP jet which cost £14k per hour

Convener of the #FixTheCountry campaign, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has criticized Akufo-Addo for opting to charter luxurious jets worth millions of dollars while everyone else has been told to tighten their belts.

In a Facebook post sighted by Awake News, Oliver Barker-Vormawor warned the government of an impending danger if leadership keeps on taking Ghanaians for granted.

“Someday soon Ghanaians will get tired of being taken for granted ooo”, he warned.

Mr Barker-Vormawor pointed to his observation that “countries with the highest income inequality and the least social nets are the ones with the highest economic crime rates per capita”.

As a result, the leader of the public pressure group called on Leadership to have working systems in place.

“If you don’t fix the land registration system, you create land guards. If you don’t fix the passport application process, you create goro boys. It’s that simple”, he wrote.

In furtherance, Oliver Barker-Vormawor called on Leadership of the country to ensure that they fix our haphazard system of doing things in order to avert an unwholesome situation where the poor literally begins to ‘feed on the rich’.

“If you deny someone what to eat; they eat the rich; and those perceived to be”, he stated.

Neho! The President’s chartering of Jets worth millions of dollars when they have told everyone else to tighten their belt is a real moral issue oo.

Someday soon Ghanaians will get tired of being taken for granted ooo.

Yooo. It’s not even me fear mongering. Countries with the highest income inequality and the least social nets are the ones with the highest economic crime rates per capita.

If you don’t fix the land registration system, you create land guards. If you don’t fix the passport application process, you create goro boys. It’s that simple.

If you deny someone what to eat; they eat the rich; and those perceived to be.

When you close your eyes and imagine Ghana 20 years from now. Suppose in your imagination,
#FixTheCountry did not succeed, what do you see?
