FEBRUARY 24: GHANA’S DAY OF SHAME

Lawrence Lamptey

24th FEBRUARY, 1966

On every 24th February, progressives across the country marks GHANA’S DAY OF SHAME.

This is a day when the great Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown by the reckless and clueless UP Tradition which has metamorphosed itself into a corrupt and inefficient NPP.

They made noise from their empty heads, even with certificates, to tarnish the image and the achievements of the Osagyefo. They met with foreign forces (CIA) to subvert the First Republic and hand over power to them.

They took over power only to loot and steal from Ghana’s coffers to better their families and friends, as they are doing today. They had no knowledge of national development, but to ceremoniously be called HEADS OF STATE.
No wonder in less than 3 years, they were booted out by the good people of Ghana led by Ignatius Kutu Acheampong. This revolution can easily repeat itself in today’s circumstances.

The place to be tomorrow is the Freedom Centre to observe living speeches from living progressives from 10 am going.

Let’s all fight together to expose this impotent administration.

I call for the People’s Power.
