According to him, the police suspects the deceased might have struggled with her assailants who attempted strangling her before inflicting the machete wounds.

“A lady and her father came to report at the station about her mother who sleeps in her shop was found dead in a pool of blood. When we go to the scene, we realized the environment was scattered and there were multiple wounds on the body at 6 of them on her neck. So clearly from our perspective this is a murder and that is our suspicion for now. We have since taken the body to the morgue for autopsy,” he stated.

Mr. Agyapong added that there was however no sign of looting in the shop to back any suspicion of a robbery at yet.
