Elorm Ohene; the man who wants to unseat South Dayi MP

The Parliamentary primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) slated for August 24, 2019 is getting ticker as many of the incumbent members of parliament are being challenged – one of such is the South Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region.

Entrepreneur, Elom Ohene, has yesterday officially announced his intention to run as a parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the South Dayi Constituency and told Awake News in an interview shortly after picking the nomination form that he has the capacity to defeat the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Rockson Deafeamekpor.

Responding to a question that what makes him think he can unseat the vocal MP, Mr. Ohene said Member of Parliament elections are are won on radio, TV or in newspapers but a constant touch with the voters by helping them solve their basic problems.

According to him, though the incumbent MP has done a lot to bring the constituency on the map through his media friendly approve and advocacy, that alone is not enough to bring development to the people.

Mr. Ohene is of the view that with his international business and lobbying skills, he has what is takes to lobby development projects for his constituents.

He said he will unit the NDC in the constituency to ensure victory for the party in 2020.

He holds International Executive MBA in International Business from the prestigious Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) France and Doctoral candidate in Political Economy with emphasis on Ethical Leadership.

He is the Executive Director, Humanitarian Alarm a registered charity working in the interest of deprived and marginalised communities in rural Ghana mainly the Volta Region of Ghana
