Election results: NDC commence action to stop EC from declaring results

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set in motion an action to stop EC from declaring the results until all coalition is done.

According to the party, the decision of the Electoral Commission to announce the winner of the Presidential race  without all the results  from the 16 regions is preposterous, irrational and are strongly against it.

So far the Electoral Commission(EC) has certified the results of 11 regions out of the 16 regions of the certified 2020  Presidential Election results.

The 11 regions where the results have been certified and released by the EC are; Bono, Ahafo, North East, Central, Ashanti, Western, Oti, Volta, Upper West, Upper East and Savannah Regions.

Those outstanding regions are Eastern, Western North, Greater Accra and Northern.

The National Democratic Congress is therefore taxing the Electoral Commission to put a hold to the declaring of the outcome of the polls since all the results are not within otherwise the end result will be disastrous.
