Election Petition: Mahama files 3rd witness statement today

Former President John Dramani Mahama has today filed a third witness statement at the Supreme Court on the 2020 election petition challenging the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as a winner of the December 7, 2020 presidential polls.

Mr Robert Joseph Mettle-Nunoo, one of the representatives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ‘strong room’ during election 2020 is the third witness who has filed his witness statement today in support of the petitioner former President John Dramani Mahama.

Mr Rojo Mettle-Nunoo who was at the EC’s strong room with Dr. Michael Kpessah Whyte alleged that the Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Jean Mensa asked them to go meet candidate John Dramani Mahama and explain to him that there some irregularities with the results of the election hence, a declaration will delay since she wasn’t interested in a speedy declaration but an accurate declaration, but on the blindside, these of agents declared the results in favor of candidates Nana Akuffo Addo.
