The Member of Parliament for Ho West Constituency in the Volta Region, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, has issued a stern warning to members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who attempt to disrupt the electoral process in the constituency.
The MP’s comments followed a statement by the Minister of Agriculture and MP for Abetifi, Bryan Acheampong, who suggested that the NPP might not hand over power after the December 7 elections.
Speaking to a charged crowd at Dededo Market during a visit by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, on Tuesday, August 13, Mr. Bedzrah warned that anyone who tries to cause trouble in Ho West will face serious consequences. He also threatened potential troublemakers with severe action if they are caught in his constituency.
“They say if we win, they won’t hand over. We are waiting for them…. As for Ho West, if they dare, their heads won’t be found. ‘if you are a man or woman, bring it to Ho West, we will decapitate you,” he warned.
The MP further cautioned members of the various security services to stay away from his constituency if they are coming to aid in unlawful activities.
“I am warning the police, the military and national security operatives that Ho West is a no-go area for them,” Mr. Bedzrah added.
