One of the largest zongos in the Volta region located at the Hohoe Municipality has pledged their support for the NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2020 elections.
The Zabarama community met in Hohoe over the weekend to renew their unflinching support for Mahama.
According to them, it was under Mahama that the zongo community in Hohoe had a clinic, an ambulance, two twenty seater public toilet, two boreholes and above all a satellite campus of UHAS located at Hohoe that is going to benefit their children, community and the nation at large.
The leaders of the zongo pledge to mobilize the zongo community to vote for John Mahama since the wife of Dr. Bawumia who came to the zongos to solicit for their votes during the 2016 elections neglected them after the NPP won.
The meeting which was held over the weekend was attended by the parliamentary candidate of Hohoe, Professor Margaret Kwaku, regional zongo caucus coordinator Hajia Hawa Tahiru and constituency zongo caucus coordinator of Hohoe Madam Rasheeda as well as leaders from the zongo community in Hohoe.
