Efo Worlanyo Takes On Abronye: An Opinion From Ahafo

The Regional Chairman of the NPP in the Bono Region, Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye DC has taken on the Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC in the Bono Region, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo and as an activist who have known what these 2 political persons hold in the region, I am but compelled to make a comment, from a close knowledge of both individuals.

Abronye DC is a known vociferous politician, whose commentary on public platforms against the NDC and her leadership at the national level is known to all. In fact he is a known Mr No-Nonsense. A fearless braggart (the guy dey talk) he is, who has command over the akan language.

Efo Worlanyo is a strategic communicator whose works has caught the attention of BBC. He’s a diplomatic firebrand who knows when to push and how to pull a break. An unpredictable leader.

I believe that Efo is serving Abronye with a piece of his hot meal. He went on an agenda ‘muddy’ the waters and that has earned him the relevance he wanted. To throw stones at leaders in a subtle way without any court action should have been a motivation enough to have allowed Efo the freedom of speech.

What is the allegation? Is it true that now Chairman made certain donations to certain constituencies? How did he get the funds? Who supported him? Can a poultry farm raise such capital? Was there a need to have sent an accuser to court? The Office of the Special Prosecutor should be petitioned and urged to look into this case.

There are lessons to be learnt from this court action. It may shape the future political discus in the Bono region.

Reputation is a new vocabulary in Ghanaian politics and no matter what happens to this suit, the court of public opinion still has it that Chairman Abronye is guilty of tarnishing hard earned reputations of NDC politicians or persons affiliated to the NDC. And he shall be sentenced to life imprisonment in the peoples court.

Chairman, Cheers!!!
