EC allegedly directs officials to deactivate BVDs

Jean Mensa

The Director of Information Technology at the Electoral Commission, Dr. Ofori Adjei has allegedly directed all officials to deactivate the Biometric Verification Devices – this is according to information available to Awake News.

This information is a secret to all the regional and District IT officials of the EC and according to IT experts, once this is done, there will no be any evidence to buttress the allegation of a vote of rigging.

Supporters of the NDC are alleging that the delay is a rigging plan being executed by the EC and the NPP, though the EC gave a timeline to declare the election but failed to do so and has since communicated it will declare the elections today 9th December 2020.

The National Democratic Congress NDC urged its supporters to demand for no recounting at all the coalition centre, since according to electoral laws it is only at the polling station that recounting can be done. The order came from the NDC national executives after they allege the Nana Akuffo Addo led government and the NPP are using the military to change the verdict in favour of their MPs in some constituencies.

This information of deactivating the BVDs picked by awakenewsroom.com is not only a cause for worry but an avenue for chaos in the country. From our source the EC IT director will later attribute the cause to software anomalies, using this as a scapegoat. Our source has also allegedly added that the NPP is behind all these manipulation tactics.

Meanwhile, supporters of the NDC has massed up at the National Electoral Commission Office seeking a declaration of a win for their flagbearer John Dramani Mahama as president-elect.
