The Suhum Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr Frederick Ofosu on Ghana’s maiden constitution day advised supporters of both NPP and NDC in his Constituency to come together as one destined people despite their political spectrum of belongingness to foster unity among themselves.
According to Chairman Ofosu, political affiliation must not be a hindrance to our individual coexistence within the Constituency and even beyond and it is with togetherness that we can see ourselves as people with a common goal and with one destiny. This he said if adhere to will bring development to the door step of the people.
The Chairman’s call for unity was made during a well organized football match between the NPP and the NDC in the Suhum Constituency to mark the statutory holiday of Ghana’s constitution day played at Nankese the second largest town in the Constituency.
The event which was organized by the Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Herbal Doctor Emmanuel Ampem Darko popularly known as Commander was well patronised by all in Nankese and beyond. It was indeed celebrated for it’s intended purpose “constitution day” where law and order was the order of the day.
According to Chairman Ofosu, occasions like this must be considered as a reflection of what has happened in the past for our good and terminate the renaissance of the bad events and as a people we will reach our enviable destination.
He uses the opportunity to hammer on sanitation which he personally has taken upon himself as his project to make sure the Constituency becomes the cleanest among the rest. He reiterated that the pick the drop is the only mechanism to keep our environment clean.
The friendly match ended up 1-0 in favor of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
Both supporters of the NDC and the NPP converged at the Second Vice Chairman’s humble abode for a mega get together.
