Dr. Lawrence writes: The President is not current on issues

Akufo-Addo and Bawumia

President Akufo Addo is reported to have told Ghanaians in France that by the end of his four-year mandate, Ghanaians will be in a better position to determine whether or not he has fulfilled his promises and that he has no intention to deceive the people.

The idiots amongst them clapped for this statement.

Mr. President, you don’t need to tell us that. We already know. The fact that you are telling Ghanaians this, two and half years of your Presidency means you are admitting that you have so far failed and hoping for some magic.
Mr. President, my advice to you is, if you really want to know what you are doing, please stop sleeping at the Flagstaff House and hit the road. You should personally inspect the projects your ministers are telling you and ask the hard questions. Sack the information Minister and look for someone who will tell the truth to you and the Ghanaian people.

When you go out there, you will see that no district has a factory; no village has a dam; no constituency has been given $1 million since 2017; NABCO has never employed 100,000 people; The nurses and teachers allowance has collapsed; the health insurance has collapsed; you will see all the abandoned projects left by John Mahama; the planting for food policy has not employed 750,000 farmers; the Free SHS is not giving quality education, and the list goes on and on and on.

Let me give you an example: On Peace FM Kokrooko show on Wednesday, Nana B read from a script in front of him that dams have been constructed in a constituency not in the Northern regions. Unfortunately for him, the former DCE of that constituency was on the same show. He told Nana B that what he had said was a flat lie because he comes from the constituency and there is no such dams. When Nana B got another turn, he insisted that he didn’t mean what the former DCE said. It was a twi program, so you wouldn’t miss it if a panelist says dams are constructed, right? Nana Addo, I know there is a report on your table which seems to suggest that dams have been constructed in that constituency. I know Mr. President, you have said it some where in Europe, that NABCO has employed 100,000 graduates. I know you don’t know that it is not factual.

Mr. President, when you hit the roads, you will see the hopelessness and disappointment written on the faces of Ghanaians, who relied on your promises and voted for you. Ghanaians don’t need to wait for four years to assess you, they have already made up their minds and if you are thinking of rigging the elections next year to force yourself on Ghanaians, please think again because it is not going to happen.
