How come all of a sudden, all the expenditure on COVID-19 is being quoted in dollars and not in Ghana cedis? Are the amount in dollars so big that they can’t be converted in Ghana cedis? You see, when you have thieves, heartless and selfish people in government, they want to steal from the poor people and then pretend like they are doing something to help the very poor people they are stealing from.
So the equivalent of $100 million the President said was set aside was not available after all? I heard the Finance Minister went to parliament and said he was now going to apply to the World Bank. Few days after, I heard he is talking of tapping into the Heritage Fund. Even in the fight against COVID-19, this government has proven beyond doubt that it is incompetent.
They lost the fight against corruption, they lost the fight against galamsey, and now they are losing the fight against COVID-19. How come Ebola couldn’t enter Ghana but COVID-19 has entered Ghana and killed at least 5 people. That is a clear difference between John Mahama and Akufo Addo. When JM was in Ghana fighting and preventing Ebola from entering Ghana, Akufo Addo was in Europe taking pictures when COVID-19 was spreading all over in Europe, and had the greatest chance of entering Ghana.
COVID-19 came to the world in December 2019, but as of April 01, 2020, the Nana Addo administration still call it an emergency and recklessly spending money and releasing the military to be beating the poor and innocent Ghanaians who voted them to power. What is the difference in Ghana now and during the military rule?
Let me let Ghanaians know that this Akufo Addo administration is not doing anything new outside the box than copying directives from WHO and other countries. The COVID-19 has exposed how incompetent, heartless, and selfish this Nana Addo government is and I need not tell you what you should do when you have the chance to keep them or kick them out.
