I asked the above question because we know December is the month in which we celebrate Christmas. Activities in town are completely different in December because everybody wants to impress someone during Christmas. Gifts and other stuff are showered on Friends, love ones and relatives. Do you see the same enthusiasm this December? Why is this December so bad and boring?
During the campaign in 2015/2016, Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Bawumiah promised Ghanaians the “President Kuffour model” of putting money into the system where people were chased in their homes for loans. They said Ghanaians are sitting on money and that they are coming to distribute it equitably for every Ghanaian to have his/her share of the National cake. Dr. Bawumiah even promised a bank account for every Ghanaian within two years of being in office. Ask yourself which of the above promises have been kept and yet they continue to promise.
If you are a GetFund contractor, how are you feeling the Christmas air? What about the road contractors? Nana Addo promised to pay you all your monies within 6 months in office. Are you feeling good? Do you also smell the Christmas flavor? Abose Okai and Kumasi “Magazine” folks, how be your body? Do you feel that you are in December? How is Business doing? Hairdressers and Barber guys, how is business in December? Your loss of business is not due to dumsor, right? Teacher and Nurses trainees, did you get your allowances for November? Taxi, Trotro and drivers in general, are you busy? What is the passenger patronage? What about Market women and men? How be your body? Do you feel the brisk during Christmas? How are people buying biscuits and soft drinks? What about dresses and uniforms? Are you meeting your selling expectations?
You see, we are in middle of December and if you are disappointed in this Nana Addo/Bawumiah government, but still hope that it will be well, I am sorry you are in the wrong country. This government came, formed 111 family and friends ministers and started defending it. They never thought about your welfare but when they go on radio and TV, they admit that it has become very hard in the country but they prescribe no solutions to take care of you. All they say is, “plans are far advanced” and yet your situation gets worse.
This is a government who in opposition promised to do A. Now in government, they are doing B, but still want Ghanaians to accept that they are delivering A. Take the 1D1F for example, they have abandoned building factories for each district and recommissioning existing ones but still call it 1D1F. They have abandoned $1 million per constituency per year, instead, the federal government is building toilets for them and calling it as such. The have introduced green and red admission system into our education but still call it Free SHS, as if just going to school means you are getting education. Chairman Wontumi, Lawyer Yaw Acheampong Boafo and Lawyer Apea Twumasi-Ankrah all went to Prempeh College but is it very clear that Chairman Wontumi went to school whilst Messrs Boafo and Twumasi-Ankrah went for education. This is a difference NPP does not want you to know.
This government who campaigned on the Kuffour model of making you richer has failed you. December is rough so will Christmas be. There is no hope for you from this government and I will not be the one to tell you to write them off, two years into the next election. They are a disappointing government and you know it.
