Dr. Lawrence exposes why Akufo-Addo allowed Covid-19 rules defied at Sir John’s funeral

The Founder of the US-based Diaspora Progressive Movement, Dr. Lawrence Appiah has said the other twist to Sir John’s mass funeral with total disregard to Covid-19 protocols an intentional agenda by the government for the virus to spread so they can deploy people to do contact tracking.

“There is another twist to Sir John’s funeral: The government is waiting for three weeks after the funeral and if the coronavirus begins to spread again, then the government will hire people to go to the houses of all those who attended the funeral and do contact-tracing for coronavirus. Which means whatever happened at Sir John’s funeral was done on purpose. Seriously, who thinks for this government, or have they left all the thinking in the hands of that 77 year-old man?” Dr. Appiah stated in a statement copied Awake News

Top government officials including the President, Vice President, and Chief Justice gather at Sakora Woono in the Ashanti Region of Ghana to give final respect to the former CEO of the Forestry Commission, Kwodwo Owusu Afriyie who reportedly died of Covid-19 in June last year.

The funeral was attended by a large number of people with total disregard to any of the Covid-19 rules making Ghanaian call for the impeachment of the President for breaking his own laws.

In reaction to the development, Dr. Lawerence said “But I think the law protecting Ghanaians against coronavirus is still in place, right? I am aware some people who went against that law were imprisoned, whilst others were punished. So what is the punishment for Nana Addo, Dr. Bawumiah and the Chief Justice? Or are they above the law?”

For him, “Anyone who says Nana Addo doesn’t have anything to do with Sir John’s funeral is a fool. Didn’t Nana Addo break his own law? If a President breaks the law, what happens to him? Why have Ghanaians made Ghana the easiest country to be a President? I don’t know if the problem is the Parliament or what. A president has broken his own law, now they have to wait for three weeks, spend money on people to go and do contact-tracing and the Parliament is quiet, as if they enjoy seeing people die of coronavirus.”

If readers can recall since the President signed the Covid 19 restriction executives instruments, many people have been arrested and prosecuted for preaching the Covid restrictions protocols.

Most recently are the Christ Embassy event organizers who are being trailed for breaching the rules.

FixTheCountry demonstrators were also presented by the police through obtaining court orders citing the Covid restrictions on large gatherings.

I am sure the law that allows a President to be prosecuted within three years after leaving office is still in place. My hope is that when John Mahama comes in 2024, he will have the radical lion heart and jail Nana Addo, Dr Bawumiah and clean up the Judiciary, starting from the Supreme Court. This should be done to send strong warning to future Presidents.

I strongly believe this is one of the main things that can move Ghana forward as a serious country. I read that the government will provide CCTV cameras to monitor the destroyers of the planted trees. If this government is full of stupidity, what about those who voted for them?

I have not started writing yet.
Mahama beba.
