Residents of Dansoman in Accra will pour out on the streets tomorrow to protest against their MP and MCE for the lousy development of the area.
The fame of Dansoman as the biggest estate in West Africa has over the years waned due to its present sorry state.
This, the residents lamented, has adversely affected the value of properties in the area.
Nii Aryitey Mensah, who described himself as a second generation resident of Dansoman and one of the conveners of the March 16 demonstration, said several letters they had written to their Member of Parliament (MP) Ursula Owusu Ekuful and MCE on the poor state of Dansoman had not received any attention.
“Our roads are filled with potholes and as for our drainage systems, I don’t know how to describe them,” Nii Mensah told an Accra-based radio station in a telephone interview Friday morning.
The MP, in her road to victory in the 2016 elections, gave lofty promises to the electorate, but Nii Mensah said she hardly visited the constituency since she became the MP and Minister, unless there were party functions.
In order to remind the MP and MCE of their responsibilities, the residents would converge at Dansoman Last Stop at 6 am tomorrow to peaceful march on the streets, Nii Aryitey Mensah announced.
