CPP denies involvement in Supreme Court writ against Attorney General

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has officially distanced itself from a legal action filed at the Supreme Court on February 24, 2025, by Democracy Hub against the Attorney General.

The party, in a statement signed by its General Secretary, Comrade Kwame Nkrumah Botsio, clarified that it did not authorize any individual or legal entity to list it as a plaintiff in the case.

The writ, which names the CPP as the first plaintiff, was filed without the party’s knowledge or consent.

The CPP emphasized that it had not given permission to use its name in the lawsuit and assured the public that it is taking steps to have its name removed from the case.

The party further urged the public to disregard any efforts to associate it with the lawsuit.
