As a social responsibility in the fight against the deadly Corona virus – this is according to the former NDC parliamentary candidate for Akatsi South, Samuel Nugblega who donated several relief items to some health facilities in Akatsi District.
Mr. Nuglega, yesterday donate items worth GHc150,000 to St Paul’s Clinic, Horga Clinic, Sefe Clinic, Wute health Center, Avenorpeme Health Center, Gefia Health Center, Lume Health Center all in the Akatsi District.
The items donated to health facilities in the constituency include a set of megaphones for mounting on District Health Directorate van for awareness creation, 3,500 pieces of mask, 200 pieces of bed-sheet, 82 pieces of pillow case, 179 pieces of overall, 320 pieces of hand towel, 6 boxes of sanitizer, over 10,000 pieces of Syringes and needles with syringe tray, nebulizer, poly clinical tube, cylinder holders, 60 pieces of Anesthesia Breathing Circuit and many more.
He also made some donations to Radio Stations (Shine FM and Kalaewo FM) to aid them as they go about their duties to educate the public on the covid-19. The items include 1 box each of Hand Sanitizer, 140 pieces of N95 and surgical mask.
Not forgetting the commitment and resolve of H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC towards fighting the pandemic, Mr. Samuel Nugblega further donated a set of megaphones for mounting on party van, 5 mobile megaphones to help educate the constituents about the covid-19 and 3 boxes of surgical mask.
In his address, he encouraged our Frontline health workers to bring out their best in the fight against the COVID-19 as we support them physically and spiritually in prayers. He further admonished the public to adhere to W.H.O precautionary measures to stop the spread of the virus.
