President Akufo-Addo in a national address telecast on all television stations across the country has announced the closure of all public and private schools in the country starting from tomorrow.

He he also suspended major public gatherings including conferences, church activities, mosque, public funerals, political rallies, festivals among others until feather notice.

His announcement is coming in the wake of Ghana confirming another four cases of the pandemic Novel Coronavirus, taking confirmed cases to six in just 3 days.

The Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie announced this at a press conference in Accra this afternoon.

He said, “All these cases were imported into the country.”

The new cases include a man who returned to Ghana from the UK and a female university student who had returned to Ghana from the US.

The two others were confirmed on Saturday. They include a man who had traveled back from Switzerland and the UK and another Ghanaian male who had returned from Turkey and Germany.
