West African Educators International Conference 2017, November 9-10, 2017

Theme: The Role of Educators in Addressing Emerging Challenges in West Africa

There are several emerging challenges confronting the nations of West Africa including terrorism, militancy, cultism, religious violence, unemployment, access to higher education, curriculum content issues, access to ICT and utilization, gender imbalance in education, citizenship and indigeneship issues, conflicting educational systems in West Africa, poverty, diseases, corruption, conflicts and underdevelopment, human rights abuse and climate change issues. These issues require professional discussions and exchange of ideas to address them.

To this end, the EP University College-Ghana in collaboration with Women in Colleges of Education, Nigeria with support from Universal Peace Federation-Nigeria, Awake Africa Magazine planning to convene the first West Africa Educators Conference to be held at University of Ghana, Accra-Ghana

The conference will bring together educators at various levels, with policy makers and leaders of educational agencies and organizations to deliberate on the theme and sub theme and evolve a strategy that will be helpful in shaping education in West Africa for regional integration, peace and sustainable development.

Abstract submission:

The abstract should be concise, written in English, and not more than 300 words. It should carry the following information: Names(s) of author(s), address(s/Institutional affiliation(s), e –mail address and phone number of corresponding author. The abstract should contain 4 – 6 keywords. All abstracts should be submitted electronically to: westafrieducators@gmail.com
