Call for Paper: 1st West Africa Peace Dialogue

Introduction:

Peaceful co-existence among neighboring nations is a key element to promoting trade, investment and human capital development which lead to solving some basic social problems like unemployment, poverty and hunger. These social problems are an influential undertone to conflict and civil unrest. Adherence to national laws without key references to regional laws and treaties signed by states within a region could form a basis for regional conflicts hence defeating the common goals for establishing regional blocs in Africa.

In recent times, Africa is experiencing a new trend of conflict – homophobic attacks. The most recent is Ghana and Nigeria and this development if not curb will become a serious threat to Africa Unity.

Against this the Africa Centre for Peace Building-Ghana, Global Educators for All Initiatives-Nigeria, Universal Peace Federation-Nigeria, The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation and United Religions Initiatives -West Africa  bring together West Africa governments, media, legal practitioners, academic and civil society organizations within the West Africa Sub-regions to dialogue on how best to promote sisterhood, peace and trade within the West Africa.

Call for Paper for Publication in Africa Peace Dialogue Journal (West Africa Edition)

The dialogue will provide an opportunity for the presentation of scholarly papers on the realizing regional peace, trade development and assessment of various national laws and treaties in Africa.

The conference will also provide an international mandate for the conference organizers to petition governments and international agencies and other stakeholders on matters of national and international concerns as may be discussed at the conference to help address the trade feud within on the continent.
