Information reaching Awake News indicates that the Krowor Municipal Assembly is boiling as the MP for the area, Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has ordered for the arrest of three (3) assembly members perceived to be members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The MP who is also the Minister of Fisheries & Aquaculture is said to have ordered the arrest of  Hon. Alfred Ahisah Laryea, Hon. Lawrence Borquaye and Hon. Robert Odiko ahead of tomorrow’s confirmation of the Municipal Chief Executive.

The nominee for the MCE position Mr. Joshua Bortey, a close friend of the MP, has been rejected on two occasions, a situation he feels was orchestrated by the same three assembly members hence their arrest to prevent them from participating in the election and or influencing other members against his confirmation.

The three are currently being held at the Nungua Police station in Accra.
