Breaking News: Koku Anyidoho sacked from NDC

The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expelled its former Deputy General Secretary, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho from the party with immediate effect.

The party in a letter addressed to Mr Anyidoho and signed by the NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said the expulsion from the party was arrived at after the party’s National Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of misconduct and anti-party behaviors against him under article 48 (1) (9) of the NDC’s constitution.

Mr. Anyidoho is thus by the said letter shall not hold himself as a member of the part and must return any properties of the party in his possession.

If readers can recall, in February 2021, Mr. Anyidoho was suspended from the party following a petition brought against him Mr Mobarak Abdul-Karim, Oti Region Communications Officer, and Mr Eric Adjei, Bono Regional Deputy Communications Office Dep. Com. Off.).

The Functional Committee of the party “At its meeting on the 20th January, 2021, FEC considered two separate petitions from two registered members of the National Democratic Congress (copies attached) each of which lodged an official complaint against your conduct which is viewed to be in breach of the Party’s disciplinary code for its members as contained in the NDC Constitution. The petitioners are: Mr. Mobarak Abdul Karim (Oti Reg. Com. Officer), Eric Adjei (Bono Reg Dep. Com. Off.),” the letter dated February 8, 2021 reads.
