Bongo NPP PC cries to his constituents – vote for front bencher not back bencher

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bongo constituency in the Upper East Region, Peter Ayinbisa who doubles as the District Chief Executive has taken the seating arrangement of parliament to a new level.

As parliamentary seating arrangement is done based on leadership, the NPP P.C is captured in a video while urging a section of his constituents on encouraged them to vote for him who will immediately become a frontbencher in parliament but not the incumbent NDC candidate who has relegated the seat to the back in parliament house.

According to him in the video, the constituency must vote for him as he shall immediately occupy a front seat for the constituency, which is a pride for them. Referring to the NDC MP and candidate he said: ” begin packing because the parliamentary seat is not his seat, the seat he is sitting on overshadows him we don’t want an MP who sits at the back, we want an MP who sits at the front”.

However the video making rounds on social media has attracted a lot of critiques and questions from people outside and inside the constituency, these people are worried whether the D.C.E is really competent enough and knows what he is involving himself into due to his inability to know that parliament is a house directed by protocols.

Other are questioning if he will lift his seat to the front by himself or it shall be in tandem with competence and an application of the protocols that will earn him a leadership role knowing his poor performance as a D.C.E according to the office of local government and UNICEF (58th and 184th) respectively ?

The NDC incumbent MP Hon. Edward Bawa who doubles as the parliamentary candidate is recently ranged 9th in parliament as assessed by Ghana Report, he has declared his confidence of winning and giving the NPP candidate a huge margin difference as far as competence is at the centre of play.
