Musician Rebecca Akosua Acheampong, popularly known as Becca, has lost her biological mother, Julie Yiadom-Oti.
According to reports, she died in London after a short illness.
Reacting to her mother’s death, Becca revealed that the “shock and pain is unbearable”.
“The family would like to beg for understanding and respect of our privacy during this difficult time to mourn.”
It will be recalled that Julie Oti granted several interviews on different radio stations speaking about the ill relationship between her daughter and herself in which she blamed her in-law, Daniel Oluwa Tobi Sanni of creating a rift among them after their marriage.
The secular artiste also assented that they had issues, reckoning that she regretted how her private life is open to the public. Reiterating her mother’s claims hit her out of the blue but assured to settle whatever issue with her peacefully.
Julie Yiadom Oti gave birth to Becca at the age of 15 while she died at 51.
