Barcelona has announced the postponement of their La Liga match against Osasuna, which was supposed to take place tonight at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

The decision came just before the match was set to begin, following reports that a club staff member was seriously ill.

It was later confirmed that first-team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia had tragically passed away, although further details are yet to be shared.

The postponement is believed to have been requested by the players as a gesture of respect. Both La Liga and Osasuna supported this decision, and the game will be rescheduled in the coming days.

Barcelona’s Champions League match against Benfica on March 11 is expected to go ahead as planned.

Minarro, who had been with the squad earlier in the day, passed away during rest time. The club is now focused on supporting his family during this challenging period.
