Arise Ghana, a bipartisan civil society organization of young Ghanaian political activists advocating for economic freedom, has invited Julius Sello Malema, leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters for an engagement with Ghanaian youth.
The engagement is scheduled to take place in Accra, on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024, at 2 pm at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS). In a video that is trending on social media, Mr Malema encourages the youth in Ghana and across Africa who believe in economic emancipation to endeavor to be part of the one-day dialogue.
“I will be visiting Ghana, the home of Africa’s democracy for a day of dialogue with Arise Ghana, a Bipartisan Civil Society Organization made up of young Ghanaian political activists who strongly believe in economic freedom in our lifetime. Join us as we all meet as young people of Africa,” he said.
Arise Ghana’s invitation to Mr Malema follows the Akufo Addo/Bawumia government’s decision to cancel the New Africa Foundations Convention 2024. This event was scheduled to take place on the 7th of January 2024 at the Kwame Nkrumah Independence Square, coinciding with Ghana’s Constitution Day. Julius Malema was billed to speak at this event.
