A former NPP Parliamentary aspirant in the Awutu Senya East constituency who doubles as the President of the Automobile Dealers Union of Ghana, Eric Kwaku Boateng has exited the party.
According to Eric Kwaku Boateng, the decision to part ways with the party is based on the current depreciation of the Cedi against the US dollar.
He explained that it’s difficult for him to understand how someone has to pay GHS15.5 for $1, adding that the party has disappointed the business community.
Eric Kwaku Boateng said it’s senseless for him to continue with the NPP, especially as the party’s policies continue to kill businesses daily.
On which party he will join to vote out the NPP in the December election, Eric Kwaku Boateng said he would join former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyeremanten. He said Alan Kyeremanten is the candidate who can improve the country’s current economic situation.
In an interview with Neat FM, he said it is high time Ghanaians looked beyond political lines and voted for candidates who can better manage the economy.
Eric Boateng now joins many NPP sympathizers who continue to cut ties with the party daily because of the mismanagement of the economy.
