Am fully prepared to fight Teenage Pregnancy – Miss Assin

The winner of the maiden edition of the Miss Assin Beauty Pageantry show, Miss Gifty Boaduwah sets to a champion reduction of Teenage Pregnancy in the country.

This she explained in an exclusive interview with Awake News’ Kofi Tamakloe in a bid to congratulate her and asked her what she intends doing with the crown.

“Am fully prepared for promoting Girl Child Education and fighting Teenage Pregnancy…… Yes! I wish to climb the stages”. She added.

The 25-year-old queen hails from Assin Asamankese in the Assin South District of the Central Region of Ghana, a trained professional teacher from Dambai College of Education with Diploma in Basic Education; emerges the winner of the Miss Assin Beauty Pageantry Show held on the 28th December

2018 at the Assin Asamankese Community Center.

Out of all the five contestants, she also emerged the talented contestant with a piece of cloth as price. She took home a 32 inches television, a decoder, and dish. All the five contestants also took home a mobile phone each.

Miss Gifty Beduah was very happy and shows her gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity given them to showcase their hidden talents. She wished everyone all the best in the new year and advice the youth especially the girls to take their education seriously.

“Very interesting to be with 6.luxury entertainment and funs…….

I will advise them (girls) to take education serious and abstain from premarital sex to avoid Teenage Pregnancy. So they will be able to achieve their set goals in life”. She added.

The program was the first of its kind in the Assin South District and hopes to continue in this nature to empower women and encourage more women to mont leadership positions. This, in turn, promotes gender equality in the country.
