The Akufo-Addo led government has fulfilled it first ever campaign promise to the good people of Ghana as the Free SHS starts today, Monday, September 11, 2017.

[ads1] The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their quest to wrestle power in last year’s general elections made Free SHS promise as focal point of the campaign.

Truly, they won the Presidential bid as many Ghanaians believed in the Free SHS and today, that promise is being fulfilled.

About 400,000 students are expected to benefit from the education policy that will exempt them from paying for tuition and other fees.

“Free SHS will also cover agricultural, vocational, and technical institutions at the high school level. I also want to state clearly again that we have a well-thought out plan that involves the building of new public senior high schools and cluster public senior high schools,” the President said recently at the launch of Free SHS Logo ceremony.
