“Do or Die” – In the past few hours, I have followed arguments FOR & AGAINST the “DO or DIE” comment of the Ex President and 2020 flag bearer of the NDC.
Just as many, especially the base of the NDC feel energised by it, members of the opposition feel a sudden moral obligation to condemn the statement, suggesting that, it is inciting. So-called neutrals have also said it equals the infamous “ALL DIE BE DIE” proclamation of Nana Addo in 2016.
The National Anthem of Ghana emboldens the citizenry to be bold in the defence of our democracy and stand up to the oppressor. Ghanaians General are again empowered by the 1992 constitution to do WHATEVER, and at ANY cost to defend their FREEDOMS & LIBERTIES as contained in the constitution (Activities leading to the election of the current Speaker of Parliament is trite). In the past, for similar reasons (Freedoms & Liberties), others have lost their lives just so we can enjoy what we have today.
We do not construe the statement of our 2020 flag bearer and leader ANY different from the admonishment of the 1992 constitution and the words of our NATIONAL ANTHEM. We are encouraged, motivated, energised and fortified to DO all that is necessary, in the defence of our Democracy which includes ensuring and INSISTING the 2024 polls will be FREE, FAIR and TRANSPARENT and ONLY the legitimate choice of the Ghanaian voter is elected President. That is a DUTY we shall NOT FAIL to oblige!!
2024!! “DO or DIE” for GHANA & not “ALL DIE BE DIE for GHANAIANS!!
rEVO!! rEVO!! rEVO!!
