A Facebook user, King Geovanni (facebook.com/razak.geovanni) has sent a strong warning to the National Communications Officer of the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi that he should be advised before “he is shot dead”.
In a Facebook post with the young lawyer’s picture, King Geovanni who is a known supporter of the ruling NewPatriotic Party (NPP) said “somebody advice this useless boy before he is hot dead”
“u don’t know the nation you find yourself in. useless boy” – he added
The news comes as the country remains on heightened alert after the killing of some prominent figures. Just yesterday night, an undercover investigative journalist with Tiger Eye PI and Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ partner, Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot and killed by some unknown men at Madina in Accra.
The NPP Social Media Communicator has since deleted the post and all his personal pictures including his profile picture from his facebook wall.
Ghanaians on social media have vehemently condemned the threat and appealed to the security agencies to commence an urgent investigation with a view to identifying the person behind the threat, expose and prosecute the culprit in accordance with the laws.
They urged the Presidency to also order an investigation into the matter, as it could result in a serious security breach and that it posed a real danger to national security. Keep in mind that this occurred immediately after the NDC’s second edition of the MOMENT OF TRUTH series.
The National Communication Officer of the NDC is yet to comment on the matter.
Justifying his threats, this is what he has to say:
let me make it clear to the NDC , you people cant threat me for saying the truth , i know sammy gyamfi and how he talk , he is even worse than me . his threats are wey higher than i do . go and watch his videos and sense that before useless pigs or soo call ndc leaders pose threat here . under the Governance of his majesty Nana addo , we fear no evil .
