As part of his commitment to help improve the standards of education in his constituents, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma Central constituency, Hon. Abdul Latif Dan on Monday, presented 2,500 mathematical sets to the Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Monica Ansaba Kumahor to be distributed to candidates sitting for the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Municipality.
The MP gave a motivational and encouraging speech to the students and the invigilating staff to encourage them perform effectively in the twelve (12) examination centres in the Municipality.
The presentation according to Hon. Latif Dan was part of his commitment to support the candidates during the period to enable them give off their best during the examination in the Municipality and pledged that such gestures will not be a nine day wonder.
Hon. Abdul Latif Dan expressed his readiness to support the Municipal Education Directorate at all times when called upon.
He wished all the 2021 batch of BECE candidates the best of luck in their final examination.
He also expressed the hope that the candidates will come out with flying colours to continue their secondary education.
Hon. Abdul Latif Dan was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Mariama Karley Amui to present the 2,500 mathematical sets to the Municipal Education Director.
Receiving the items, the Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Monica Ansaba Kumahor expressed her appreciation to the MP for the kind gesture and assured that the items will be use for the intended purpose.
The items she said will go a very long way to support the candidates adding that the candidates have assured them that they will make the Municipality proud by coming out with flying colours.
