A little mischief is good for the soul – Charlotte Osei

Charlotte Osei has been accused of abuse of office and malfeasance

Former Chairperson of Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC), Charlotte Osei has explained her ‘karma tweet’ which many linked to the Sputnik-V procurement woes of Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu.

In an interview with Winston Amoah on JoyFM’s Super Morning show on August 18, 2021, the former EC Chairperson expounded her understanding of Karma.

“Karma in the biblical equivalent would be what you sow is what you reap. And we always look at it, as if you sow corn, you will not reap beans. But we forget that if you sow one corn seed, you’re not going to reap one piece of corn. It grows into a plant, it produces fruits so there’s the principle of multiplication in everything that we do. Even our thoughts are seeds. Our actions are seeds and when you reap it, you reap it multiples and that’s why we should also be very careful about how we manage certain situations. This thing is like a roller-coaster. That’s how life is”, she said.

Charlotte Osei was however tight-lipped when she was asked to shed more light on “the seed that was planted”.

When quizzed about her ‘karma tweet’, Charlotte Osei remarked that “a little mischief is good for the soul”.
