The Army Mess at the opposite of the 37 Military Hospital main gate is scheduled to host the ruling New Patriotic Part’s Masareti’s new year party in Accra.
The programme is scheduled to start at 3:00pm this afternoon, Sunday, January 3, 2021.
It is however not yet clear if the Ghana Armed Forces has relaxed its rule on its premises being used to host partisan political party activities as in the few years past such acts are prohibited.
Elikem Kotoko took to his social media page to react to the photos:
“Our military are supposed to always remain loyal to the government of the day and ensure however they remain apolitical and ready to at all times defend the constitution.
These images were taken from the Senior Army Officers’ Mess right opposite the 37 Military Hospital, Accra, depicting a political party activity scheduled to take place within that facility this afternoon at 1500GMT
This is the extent to which Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his NPP have decided to destroy every state institution and make them regime institutions
Meanwhile, when you try entering any military installation with any semblance of political colouration of Paraphernellia, you will either be turned away or asked to shelve that before being allowed entry. This is today’s Ghana. Soon, the soldiers may now resort to internal conflicts which will be attributed to political undercurrent if investigated
Over to you the responsible, professional, objective and unbiased patriotic media, again you may choose to stay mute and avoid discussing it today out of fear but the greater fear and threat lays ahead if we ignore now
