The Falcons of Jediane worsen the woes of Ghana Black Stars as they held Ghana to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports stadium yesterday in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The game saw a first half brilliancy from the Sudanese side with the Black Stars having fall on recovery most of the times.
In the second half, the Black Stars took on their opponents to an intense game of possession and attack in the midfield. The Falcons of Jediane had to defend and stick to their game plan of getting a point by drawing.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw. Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, revealed that it was a day of no luck on the part of the Black Stars. He explained that his side created numerous chances but were not lucky enough to convert those chances.
Otto Addo said, “Sudan were very lucky today, that is all. Next time we meet in Libya, they won’t be lucky.”
Ghana is now lying in third position in Group F with two points. Sudan will face Ghana again in the return leg on October 15, 2024 in Libya.
The chance of Ghana qualifying has become slimmer as Angola is leading the table with six points, followed by Sudan with four points.
