Chelsea Tayui, the winner of the Miss Universe Ghana 2020 is in Florida, the USA representing Ghana at the 2021 Miss Universe world pageant.
The 69th edition being held in the city of Hollywood in Florida, USA, at 8 pm Eastern Time, airing live from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
A native of the coastal town, Keta in the Volta Region, Chelsea partook in last year’s pageant which was mostly done virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
She is a graduate of Depaul University with a degree in Communications Studies and media and works part-time with KMJ foundation, a non-profit organization as a communications director which seeks to create a world where individuals have access to basic human needs.
Chelsea’s Project:
After winning the 2020 Miss Universe Ghana, she embarked on a mission to eliminate the stigma associated with autism, raising awareness and advocacy for policy change in the Ghanaian system of education such that victims of autism are accommodated in formal school systems. She also a strong proponent for early intervention of the condition at its infant stage.
Chelsea is said to have traveled to 22 countries in the world and had an incident that made her almost died at the early age of 16.
