2020 Polls: Four persons file to replace Fiffi Kwetey in Parliament

At the just ended filing of nomination at the District Directorate of the Electoral Commission in Ketu South, four (4) persons have successfully submitted their documents to be part of the contest to replace Hon Fifi Kwetey as the member of parliament for Ketu South Constituency.

The Returning Officer Mr. Gabriel Kupoalor in an interview with our reporter indicated that after the close of nomination on the 9th of October, four persons have filled and have their documents vetted by the EC to confirm their candidacy.

The candidates include two men and two women who are ready to take over from the incumbent as he bows out after serving for 8 years.

The National Democratic Congress’ candidate, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, was the first to file. Madam Gomashie is a former Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Creative Arts, a veteran actress and professional dancer, a social/gender activist who also owns Value For Life an NGO and CEO of Mama’s Kitchen.

Pastor Henyo Dometor, founder of Potter’s Ministry and proprietress of Potter’s Foundation Academy at Accra and a farmer filed on the ticket of Ghana Union Movement -GUM.

An Elder of the Church of Pentecost Aflao Area and a long standing businessman who is the Director of Dedav Company Ltd, Director of Albazagu Company Ltd and CEO of Ganyo Susu Service, Hon David Tiahno Quarshie is also ready to battle it out for the New Patriotic Party.

Mr Amegah Holy Kingsford a Web Designer who represents the Liberal Party of Ghana is optimistic he would represent the people of Ketu South after this year’s election.
