100days in office: Madina MP launches Scholarship, Teachers Award tomorrow

The Member of Parliament of Medina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Francis-Xavier Sosu is set to mark his One Hundred Days in the office tomorrow, April 19, 2021 with the launching of the Educational Funds and Teacher Awards Scheme.

The programme will be held at the University of Professional Studies – UPSA Students Centre Auditorium at 2pm.

The event dubbed “Accounting to the People of MADINA” will have a press briefing, official launching of Scholarship Fund, and the Teachers Award Scheme which is said to be the first in the history of the Madina Constituency.

Lawyer Sosu since assumption of office on January 7, 2021 has established a Madina Jobs Centre which seeks to connect job seekers to potential employers.

According to the renowned human rights activist, “As part of fulfilling our promise to promote jobs and skill acquisition in the Madina Constituency, we started the #MADINA job center” which he said in the past three “months we have impacted close to 650 people”
“Yesterday was no exception. Through our Entrepreneurship Module, 50 students graduated with top-notch skills high in demand in IT. This was implemented in Partnership with ZIMBA MEDIA” – he said
“Students were taught Graphic Design, Motion Graphics and Presentation Skills over a period of 1 month. It was worth it as students showcased knowledge gained by designing logos and Motion Graphic videos of business ideas they came up with.” – He added
